What Cruelty Free Hair Products Do I Actually Use?

Hi all! How are you? I hope you are having a great weekend. I just wanted to write a quick review on theĀ  cruelty free hair products I use. To be honest, I don’t really do anything special to my hair. I do suffer from dandruff, and I tend to avoid putting a lot of products in my hair. Slowly but surely I am switching to organic hair care products. I purchased all of these cruelty free products at Target, and they cost less that $10.

Renpure Solutions Lavender Cleansing Conditioner

The basics of this cleansing conditioner is that is part of this whole new hair era, where you replace your shampoo for conditioner. I love the smell of this conditioner, plus it really made my hair soft. The only downside is that my scalp was sort of oily after washing my hair. I tend to only use 5 pumps when I wash my hair, and I leave it on for about 5 minutes.

Acure Clarifying Conditioner Lemongrass

This is the second conditioner that I have tried from Acure. I really love them both. I think the lemongrass smell is very clean, but it isn’t my favorite. It definitely makes my hair feel soft, and that is why I like it so much. I think for the price, product, and the fact that I got it at Target is a huge plus. Call me crazy, but I am the type of person to run to the grocery store when I’ve just finished a deodorant or shampoo. I don’t usually buy these products in bulk, but I should probably. This product is cruelty free, and vegan.

Andalou Naturals Argan & Sweet Orange Moisture Rich Shampoo

Okay first off this smell reminds me of an orange creamsicle, and that is probably why I like it most. I know, I know, I always have to say something about the smell of the product, but I mean when I’m reviewing the product I can always remember the smell. Anyway, I do have some dandruff after wearing this product, but it doesn’t irritate my scalp, and I don’t feel itchy. This is an organic, cruelty free, and vegan product.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

This is a vegan and cruelty free dry shampoo. Also this dry shampoo is super popular, and that’s because it gets the job done. I tend to not use this product often, because I still feel the need to wash my hair after I workout. I usually use this dry shampoo when I don’t feel like washing my hair.

Review on Relaxing Aromatherapuetic Scents: CalloftheVialed

In all honesty, I’ve never been into perfume. I find that I get dizzy, after wearing very powerful scents, and I usually only wear perfume when I’m going to a wedding or a fancy dinner. With that said, I have been trying to find a cruelty free perfume that is decently priced. Because you know I’m on that budget life, and I blame college loans for this. Anyway, I tried out the CalloftheVialed, because I saw it on laurasnaturallife instagram. I think she has great advice on beauty, and I decided to try this out. I also found out that the company CalloftheVialed is in Berkely, CA, and I’m also from the Bay Area so I wanted to support the company. I bought the sample set which was $16, but $20 with tax and shipping. It’s still not that expensive compared to the perfume aisle in Macy’s, but I kind of felt like it was expensive. I think I’d prefer to spend $20 on a mascara or foundation instead, honestly.

Okay first off, these scents are vegan aromatherapeutic scents, so think earthy relaxing scents. The first one I will review is called Vialed Flower Parfum Pur. It is the strongest scent out of the four. It does smell musky to me with hints of lavendar, and the wearability doesn’t last long. I think they all make you feel relaxed, so they are good for those stressful days when you need to keep it together. All the perfumes go on like oils, and they aren’t sticky at all. They blend with your skin nicely.

The Vialed Dream scent has juniper, and lavendar in it. I like the name of it, because it makes me think that I can put this on before I sleep and I will fall asleep right away. Which I probably could, but I usually fall asleep right when my head reaches the pillow anyway. I think this would be a good scent to put on after a shower, and let your body ease into relaxation.

The Vialed Hush perfume is subtle. It is my second favorite, because it isn’t too strong. It has hints of sandalwood, and thyme.

Last is Vialed Momentum. It has tangerine, grapefruit, and lime oil, and it is my #1 favorite. I also think it is subtle like Hush, but I like the citrus smell. It makes me feel like I’m in a garden. It also makes me feel invigorating. I put this one on when I went to work, and I felt more energized to work. I would consider buying this scent or Hush, but I will definitely try to get my money’s worth with the samples first.
