Hello beauties! In this blog post I want to review two products from Hynt Beauty. The beauty brand is organic, and these are the first products I’ve ever purchased from this company. I really wanted to like Hynt Beauty, since I’ve heard great reviews. I didn’t care for either one of their products though. For comparisons, I have combination skin. One of the products I purchased was the Duet Perfecting concealer in light, and the mascara from Hynt Beauty. Both products were $24. I think the mission behind the brand is great, and I love the packaging. A little background on how I found out about this brand, is that I saw a video on YouTube from The Green Bunny. I used her discount code to make the purchase, and thank god I did. Please make sure to keep reading to find out what I thought about the products.
Hynt Beauty Mascara Review
Creates gentle lashes
Takes too many applications to actually see the product.
This product isn’t buildable. If you apply to much mascara it can get clumpy.
After two applications my lashes looked thin and long, but not enough volume.
I noticed some fall out throughout the day
Hynt Beauty Concealer Review
The Hynt Beauty concealer is similar to RMS Un Cover-Up Concealer/Foundation. After using the Hynt Beauty concealer, I came to the conclusion that I absolutely love RMS. Hands down it’s the best green beauty product! Anyway, to find out what I think about Hynt Beauty Perfecting concealer keep reading.
The color is true and it doesn’t turn orange at all.
Comes in a cute little recycled jar, same as the RMS.
It creases throughout the day
Throughout the day the concealer feels heavier under the eyes
Like I said I have combination skin, so maybe that’s why the concealer didn’t work for my skin. I tend to have oily skin on my t-zone. RMS un cover concealer/foundation is comparable to the Hynt concealer, and I love RMS. I prefer the W3LL People mascara or Lily Lolo mascara to the Hynt Beauty. Please let me know in the comments if you have tried the Hynt Beauty concealer or mascara. What are your thoughts?
Who doesn’t love a good organic lipstick? I am excited to share that I found an excellent green beauty lipstick. Now I don’t have to worry about toxic chemicals in it. 100% Pure had a promotion sale more than a month ago. So basically if you had the link and shared it on your Facebook page, then it allowed you to get a free matte lipstick and only pay the shipping ($5.99). I was super excited, since the organic lipsticks are usually $29. 100% Pure lipsticks are as pricey as sushi.
Review on 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick
The packaging describes it as “An ultra-matte, lightweight lipstick that glides on seamlessly for a soft finish while providing vibrant color from all-natural fruit pigments.”
The description is 100 % accurate.
I was so surprised, and shocked that the lipstick was matte, but it didn’t feel like it stuck to my lips.
It glides really well on the lips, and of course I made sure to have clean dry lips before applying. I did notice that after about an hour the lipstick wiped away, so I would not describe this as long lasting. The smell is amazing though. I loved the fruit smell, because all the ingredients are natural. Some of the ingredients are cherry, cabernet grape, apricot, organic cocoa, shea butter, pomegrante, lavender, rosemary, and peach.
The color sandstone gres is a brown lipstick with hints of orange. It is a nude lipstick for sure. It is wearable for light or light to medium skin tones. I don’t think this would be a good color for medium or dark skin tones.
I can’t wait to try out more of 100% Pure’s lipstick collection, since I’ve heard nothing but great things.
Hi my beauty tribe! If you follow me on Instagram then you know I recently bought the W3ll People Expressionist Mascara. I wanted to compare the Lily Lolo Mascara and the W3ll Expressionist Mascara, because they are comparable. Recently I reviewed the Lily Lolo mascara, since I bought it several weeks ago. I think there is definitely more room for the green beauty world to create a better mascara, but I do have a favorite for now. Please keep reading if you want to learn which green beauty mascara is best for you.
W3ll People Expressionist Mascara- $21.99
This mascara does not clump.
It states that it “coats even the shortest of lashes, delivering a flawless and even finish.” This mascara hands down, gets the job done by defining every eyelash.
It has natural jojoba oil which nourishes lashes.
It’s suitable for sensitive eyes.
I had a little bit of fall out under my eyes.
Lily Lolo Mascara- $20
It definitely provides length and volume. At first I really liked this mascara, because of how much volume it gave my lashes.
When I first used the product, my lashes didn’t clump.
It lasts all day, and stays put.
It irritated my eyes throughout the day, but mostly towards the end.
My lashes started to clump after about a month of using this mascara. In this photo, I just pulled out the brush from the tube and you can see how clumpy the brush is.
At first I really liked the Lily Lolo mascara, mostly because it was the first green beauty mascara that gave my lashes length and volume. I didn’t like that it irritated my eyes. Overall I think I have a love/hate relationship with the Lily Lolo mascara. It’s like when you eat cake, and you tell yourself you are only going to take one bite. Then of course you take two more bites, and then before you know it you finished the cake.
The W3ll People Expressionist Mascara is good for right now. I really like that it doesn’t clump, and it grabs all of my lashes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes which is a plus.
Hey everyone! Happy New Year! I’ve made a list of goals just like everyone else in this world, and I’ve been purchasing more and more things lately related to that goal.
The goal is to switch over to green beauty products in 2017.
The #1 reason I want to switch to green beauty products is because when I switched to cruelty free makeup I was introduced to green beauty products. I never knew that those products existed without chemicals, and at first I wasn’t interested at all. But then around September 2016 I then realized that my skin didn’t feel the same, and my skin felt itchy and irritated by the products I was putting on it. That’s when I was introduced to Laura’s Natural Life on YouTube, and The Organic Bunny blog. I am really interested in making my skin feel good again, and that’s why I want to switch some of my products to green beauty.
The 2nd thing that I want to bring up is that while I will be switching a lot of my products to green beauty, it won’t all be at once. I want to continue using the eyeshadows that I have, because honestly I only wear them for certain occasions and I don’t want to throw them out just yet. But from now on, if I do need to buy certain makeup products because I’m out of it then I will buy green beauty products.
